First News Post! As I continue to learn about how to do this webcomic-ry, I'll be adding features and such at a slow pace. Expect a calendar, and a storyline dropdown, after I actually get out of the first chapter and this feature will have a function.
About Today's Comic
Since I've been mute this entire time (all three pages of mute), allow me to now take the opportunity to say that yes, I know it's the worst drawn garbage you're liable to see. But I promise you that if you bear with it, it gets substantially easier on the eyes in a few pages. And then, once you get to the pages that I actually had a real inking pen, and a good eraser for, it'll look even better! And wait, it gets more exciting than that even! When you hit the 20's, pages begin to show up more frequently in vibrant color, and then I even learned how to color in photoshop so it doesn't leave little white pixels in the edges! Next to learn: Cell shading, my worst nightmare.
About Today's Writing I'll keep this section brief, but perhaps in the future I'll need to apologize for such things as language, content, terrible puns, and so on and so forth. Today's comic's writing is still shaky as I make my transition from novel form to comic form. Here's the section from the book that this page entails (I don't actually reference it while drawing/writing, but it may be fun for you.)

It seemed that just as he had gotten bored with keeping his eyes closed, a bolt of lightning sundered the sky behind him, close enough to send a sonic jolt through his bones. Robert snapped his eyes open, already turned to face the noise with both hands up in front of his body – a reflex from years of needing to react to threatening sounds he couldn’t see. The bolt had cracked like a bullwhip in desert air, but no thunder rumbled in its wake. Instead, it seemed to hang in the air as if time had stopped, thirty feet away from where Robert stood. He blinked rapidly, trying to make the burned image move from his eyes, and then he realized that he hadn’t seen the bolt strike at all, and what he was seeing now was a jagged, glowing line of light that was sticking right up out of the middle of the northbound lane of traffic. Another cracking sound, as if a walnut the size of a Chevy had been broken in two, pierced the night, and this was behind Robert too. He spun, hoping to see it in time to catch what it was, and again no thunder followed the tell-tale electric sound of the bolt. As with the first instance, the bolt was frozen in time, and it had landed well on the other side of the McDonalds. A few seconds later, another bolt struck behind Robert, but this time he didn’t move, only puzzling about the second jagged light. His mind raced to give an answer to this strange phenomenon he was seeing...

In the medium change, some scenes that had no dialogue have to be reworked. THis is one such scene. So this section wasn't so brief. Bah.
